BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

The battle between the great offenses of this year between the university of Oregon and Auburn actually turned out to be a battle of the great defenses. With each side playing a horrible first half of football we saw both defenses starting to shine. And personally after all of those 37 days of waiting i was sick and tired of hearing about how great Cam Newton was and how much he has had to overcome throughout the season, by the end of it i was just so sick of it. So personally i wanted to see the Oregon defense crush the Auburn offense like they weren't even in the same league, but we all knew that wouldn't happen, unfortunately. As much as i wanted to see Cam Newton loose i was kind of impressed by his second half performance with how much he stepped up and looked like the Cam we all had seen and heard about. The Oregon offense on the other hand in the second half was shut down completely by the Auburn defense led by Nick Fairley who played like an animal in this game. But for some reason the Oregon offense could not find an answer for the pass rush in the second half and were humiliated in my eyes. And the play by Michael Dyer was the play of the game by far and ultimately led to the game winning field goal, a BCS title for Auburn, and a loss for the underdog Ducks, with a score of 22-19.
